Pokhara Peace Pagoda → Pumdikot Hike | Ridge Views Half Day

1 Day

This longer half-day route links two of Pokhara’s best viewpoints on one easy-to-moderate hike. Start with a short boat ride across Phewa Lake, then climb stone steps and forest paths to the World Peace Pagoda (Shanti Stupa) for sweeping views over the lake, city and, on clear days, the Annapurna range. From the stupa, continue along a quiet ridge toward Pumdikot, a hilltop viewpoint crowned by a Shiva statue complex and broad valley vistas.

Expect about 2.5–3.5 hours of hiking in total, with a steady 30–60 minute ascent from the lakeshore to the stupa and gentle undulations along the ridge. The route finishes at the Pumdikot roadhead for a quick vehicle pick-up back to Lakeside. It’s ideal for active beginners, families with teens and photographers who want maximum scenery with minimal logistics. Mornings typically deliver the clearest views; in monsoon, trails are lush but can be slippery.
