Mardi Himal Trek (7 Days) | Base Camp 4,500 m via High Camp

7 Days

The Mardi Himal Trek is a compact Annapurna trail that climbs from terraced mid-hills into airy ridgelines below Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) and finishes with a push toward Mardi Himal Base Camp (≈4,500 m) for sweeping views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli and the upper Sanctuary. The route typically starts with a short drive from Pokhara to Kande (≈1,770 m), then steps through Deurali and mossy rhododendron forest to Forest Camp and Low Camp, before leaving the treeline for High Camp (≈3,580 m) and the viewpoint/base-camp ridge.

Daily walking averages 4–7 hours with steady but manageable elevation gains, making it ideal for fit first-timers who want a high-reward week in Nepal. (Mar–May) brings rhododendron blooms; (Sep–Nov) offers the clearest mountain skies. Exit is usually via Siding/Lumre with a road transfer back to Pokhara.
